I heard the word ‘autumnal’ appear on the weather forecast for the first time tonight. What a great time to go to Africa!! I have lost count of the number of times, teams have gone out with us to Gulu, but one thing I do know – is that each team is unique and ‘right’ for that time. This mission is no different and I sense it could actually be rather special! With a growing sense of ‘presence’ in Uganda, TEAMS have deep lasting relationships into which we can bring mission teams to experience God in a fresh way, and service in a very real way.

The mission ‘theme’ is 2-fold. Firstly, the very practical faith as highlighted in the biblical book of James, and secondly, the season of ‘crossing over’ into which we sense that Gulu is going through as a transition from war to post-war rebuilding. We believe that this is just the time when its critical to see men and women of a ‘different’ spirit rise to lead the people into a biblical mandate for life, lifestyle and living.

It will be intensive as ever and I am especially delighted that after many years, doors have opened for us to develop the Youth arm of the ministry and Stepping Out Programme.
