Out In Gulu
Out In Gulu

The beautiful scenery of the place gives me a lot of peace as well.

Last year on mission I experienced the surface of Gulu, but this year I am experiencing and enjoying all that this town has to offer me. There are no car taxi’s available but there are motorbike taxi’s called ‘boda bodas’ and I’ve really enjoyed travelling on these because it allows me to experience the town and villages first hand. The children from Sunday school even shout out my name as I whizz past on the boda boda, its all very exciting!

Whilst I am on TEAMS site I like to take walks around the grounds because the agriculture of the place has grown over the years and there is a lot of produce now, it is very well taken care of. The beautiful scenery of the place gives me a lot of peace as well.

I’m the spiritual lead of the mission this year, and it is a great honour for me to lead a group of ten unique friends of mine. Challenges arise, but the important thing is that we have continued to build each other up in God so that we are able to be a blessing to those around us. Praise God.

Today I spoke on 1 Thessalonians 4:7

“For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.”

Through this scripture I encouraged everyone to remove the unholy habits, issues and bad feelings in order to allow God’s holiness to be the centre. Its a choice; choose God or not. Its through holiness that we can build for a better lifestyle in God, a holy lifestyle, full of challenge, growth, joy and love.
