Through the generous support of one of our donors we have been able to construct a 2 roomed brick built house with separate toilet, shower and cooking area on our land in Gulu. This accommodation has been built specifically for our Pastor who presently lives 8 miles from our church. Moving to this new house will shorten his commute from 2 hours (on foot) to 2 minutes across our site to the church!

We are hoping that the house will be finished and ready for him to move to in August. Although basic by western standards, it is of a good standard locally and appropriate for the position and respect that such people hold in Uganda.

Our budget has allowed us to carry out basic wiring for light and power within the accommodation, but we do not have sufficient funds to purchase a solar panel, battery and inverter to allow our Pastor to carry out his duties at night. We are therefore urgently looking to raise £350 to equip his house with solar power.
